My goal for this project is to make smooth rounded rock that it really nice. I wanna learn about the rock and it the machine works as well so it should be really fun.
The rock I used was Red Jasper when I picked this rock I did a little background research and found that many ancient civilizations throughout the world including Greece and Arabian countries revered Red Jasper as a very sacred and powerful rock they provided protection against physical and spiritual threats. Plus it is my favorite color so that made me want to pick it even more.
Looking back:
The results of this project were really, really good we got some really cool smooth rocks out of it, we attempted to make jewelry and many of my classmates made really cool pieces. The rocks turned out really smooth and shiny. It was really time consuming though but it was well worth it because we experienced something we never have experienced before.
Looking beyond:
On a molecular level I noticed the rocks grinding down rather quickly especially on the Diamond Mesh. It grinds down really quickly with that one so if you need to shape your rock definitely use that one. The other rocks polishers were really wet so it made it feel even more smooth after we used it.
Looking Inward:
I got very desirable results from this project, I got a very smooth and cool rock and was really really colorful and polished when done. Some things that contributed to desirable results was having a steady and and listening to what plates Jiapsi said to use.
Looking Outward:
Well since this was not really a group project I worked by myself but everyone did the same thing so I guess it was a group project. I was fine working just by myself I was still with everyone.
Looking Forward:
If i were to do this again I would take my time, because I feel like I was very rushed because village fest and all of that and I think that it wouldve been better if I couldve had more time instead and making a cooler rock. If I could continue this project again I would definitely make more rocks and possibly make jewelry.
Take aways:
I took away so much from this project because I have never even used this machine before or even seen one so it was a really cool experience to see it yet alone use it. I know what plates to use to shape polish or smoothen I could help many people if they want to do this project again.
